Fall Final
Each weekend since September the Richter Association for the Arts has brought visual and performance art the Art Center. The fall series is now coming to a close with the final two Sunday performances. This weekend experience heartfelt-expressive artistry and core resonance as the Harmonia Chamber Players perform masterworks by Boccherini, Haydn, Beethoven, Dvorak, Bruch, and Rachmaninoff, along with all-time favorites from Broadway Musicals. Performers are Soprano Ana Kouyoumdjian, Elizabeth Kalfayan cello, Lydia Headley piano, and Darla Coolman Bass. Richter Arts Events are on Sundays at 3pm. The Richter Arts Center is on the City's West side, just off I-84 Exit 2 at 100 Aunt Hack Road, Danbury, Connecticut. The Richter Association for the Arts is more than visual art. They have begun their Fall series, which continues through October. Next up, on October 29, is the Vladimiroff Trio.

* Big Brass Band
The Danbury Brass Band will perform a pre-Halloween Concert in the Marian Anderson Recital Hall, 256 Main Street Danbury, Connecticut on October 29, 2017 at 7:00 P.M.. This concert is an annual event, now held at the Danbury Music Centre, which this year includes two Premier performances Solemn Introduction and Scenes from the Rite of Spring, as well as other works.The Danbury Brass Band performs throughout the year, mostly for holidays, in Danbury and around the world. Original pieces are written by members of the Danbury Brass Band and most arrangements are by Band Director Alan Raph.

The Danbury Music Centre presents the Danbury Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Ariel Rudiakov on October 29 at 3:00 until 5:00 pm. Before the baton falls, participate in a pre-concert chat with Conductor, Ariel Rudiakov and Piano soloist, Robert Fertitta. The performance will include:

PUMPKIN PATCH PULLMAN
Vintage train to the pumpkin patch!
It’s the Fall harvest season so what better way to celebrate and welcome in the cooler weather than with a short ride on a vintage train to the Danbury Railway Museum’s Pumpkin Patch. This popular annual family event finishes it's three weekends, October 28-29 on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sunday from noon to 4:00 PM at the museum, with trains departing hourly beginning ½-hour after opening each day; last train at 3:30. Admission is $12.00 for ages 2 and over; children under 24 months are free.
Ride the Pumpkin Patch Train through the historic railyard in a 1920's passenger coach, pulled by a vintage ALCo RS-1 diesel-electric locomotive (or other vintage locomotive, subject to availability) to the special pumpkin patch where each child ages 2-12 will receive a free pumpkin. Of course, the exhibits, artifacts, and multiple operating model train layouts inside the restored over 100-year old Danbury station will be open for your education and entertainment. The kids can also enjoy the free activities such as the “coloring station,” temporary tattoos, cider & cookies, and more. There is a fully-stocked gift shop on the premises. No reservations are required; the event will be held rain or shine. Children are encouraged to come in costume.

The museum is located in the restored 1903 Danbury Station and rail yard at 120 White Street, Danbury, CT and has many artifacts of area railroading on display, including over 70 vintage railroad cars and locomotives.
