2023 Danbury Street Festival June 3 @ 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The 2023 Danbury Street Festival is celebrating its 35th anniversary, on Saturday, June third, from noon to six pm CityCenter Danbury. Once again Main Street will be transformed into a pedestrian-only festival for a day with local artisans, vendors, food trucks, music, interactive exhibits, cultural experiences, family fun zone & much much MORE. 

With over seventy artists and vendors, three live performance stages; the roadway between White Street and West Street will be FUN-FILLED, INTERACTIVE, with NON-STOP ENGERGY.  

The Danbury Cultural Commission office will be open to showcase the rarely seen Charles Federer mural. This is a 1935 depiction of characters from children's books is the last remaining work of the noted illustrator in Danbury. 

Downtown Danbury, CT will be the place to be, come celebrate the 2023 Danbury Street Festival!

Danbury Railway Museum to Host Steel & Wheels Car Show June 10

The Danbury Railway Museum is pleased to once again be the host venue for the Steel and Wheels auto show, this year to benefit Help Our Military Heroes.  The fun will begin on Saturday, June tenth at ten am and the auto show closes at two thirty pm. The museum itself will close at four pm. The rain date is the next day.

General admission is $12 for age 3 and older and includes admission to the museum, train rides, tours of vintage railroad equipment, and the car show. Trains will begin running hourly at eleven am with the last train departing at two pm. 

Show cars are welcome and owners should show up at the gate where a fee of $10 will be collected by the car show personnel.

Danbury Concert Association presents the American Brass Quintet, Sunday, May 21 at 3 p.m.

The Danbury Concert association brings the The American Brass Quintet to the City on Sunday, May twenty first, Twenty Twenty three, at three pm. The program includes the most beautiful and exciting brass repertoire, from classic “fancies” and works by Josquin des PrĂ©s and Ludwig Maurer to contemporary compositions by Jennifer Higdon, Anthony Barfield, David Snow, and Eric Ewazen.  

Single tickets  at $25 per adult can be purchased through Eventbrite on Western Connecticut State University's Eventbrite page. Admission is FREE for ages 18 and under, thanks to the Danbury Cultural Commission. Please reserve in advance through Eventbrite. 

Performances take place at the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the WCSU Westside Campus. Tickets to individual concerts at twenty five dollars per adult will go on sale within two weeks of each performance. To purchase, call the WCSU box office of visit eventbrite.

What is the Danbury Cultural Commission

The Danbury Cultural Commission is the citizen's voice for supporting cultural and artistic events in Danbury. They support and help fund performing arts programs for Danbury residents free of charge. The eleven-member Commission supports the development of new arts programs and supports and funds local arts, cultural and ethnic activities. The Commission also encourages, promotes and co-sponsors events which benefit and improve the quality of life for Danbury residents.
