Tastes of Danbury November 2023

This is the final Tastes of Danbury this year. 

For just $25 you’ll enjoy a special dish at all four of our monthly highlighted restaurants through the month of November, that’s less than $10 a meal!  This is the last Tastes this year, so make sure you visit all these restaurants, PoYo / Tiesto / Muncheez / Los Rivera Cafe  by November 30th!

Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker ballet December 8-10

Tickets for Danbury's Nutcracker ballet are available now. This annual event usually sells out so don't delay. Performances are December eighth at seven thirty P M, and December ninth and tenth at three P M, and are held in the Danbury High School auditorium 43 Clapboard Ridge Road in Danbury, Connecticut. 

This wonderful Danbury tradition has been presented by the Danbury Music Centre for over fifty years. Featuring over two hundred dancers showcasing talent from the greater Danbury area. The production is fully staged with beautiful scenery, costumes and lighting. It includes a children’s chorus and is one of the few productions in our state that includes a live symphony orchestra which plays the iconic music of Tchaikovsky’s score in its entirety. This experience and holiday tradition is not to be missed!

All Aboard The Snow Clipper for the First Gift Express. Weekends December 9 - 23

That portly gent from the North Pole will once again pay a visit to the Danbury Railway Museum and you can take a short ride in a vintage train through the historic railyard to visit him. This is a major fund-raising event for the museum and will take place on Saturdays and Sundays, December Two and three, nine and ten, sixteen and seventeen and the twenty third. The museum will be open each day from noon to seven P M. Reservations are required for this very popular event, as it sold out last year. Due to the unique nature of this event, walk-in sales will not be available. 

Trains will depart at 12:30, 2:00, 3:30, 5:00, and 6:30. Afterwards, you are free to enjoy a walk through the railyard with a free cup of hot chocolate, and don't forget the marshmallows and fresh-baked cookie!  Tickets are Twenty five dollars for ages two and up. Shout Out for Danbury your ideas, so that they matter and have value December 31

What would you like to Shout Out about to make Danbury an inviting place to work, live, or visit? ” Well here is your chance to put your brain to work and come up with Shout Out ideas! 

Submit your thoughts to Shout Out for Danbury, between Now and the end of the calendar year, Twenty twenty three. 

Prizes up to Five hundred dollars will be awarded in the middle of winter to brighten the season.

2023 Light the Lights – Winter Festival December 2 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

 

The City Center Danbury Connecticut, Twenty twenty three, Light the Lights Winter Festival, will be on December second between three and seven P M, on the Ives Street Green.  

CityCenter Danbury in partnership with the City of Danbury is proud to announce its second Annual, on the Green, “Light the Lights – Winter Festival”. Enjoy Downtown Danbury’s very own forty foot holiday tree! This free event is open to all.  Downtown Danbury will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland, with fun festivities for all ages! 

Danbury’s Mayor will do the official “light up” of downtown, and Santa will arrive by fire truck, so bring a camera for this great photo opp.  Come out and enjoy some holiday shopping from various vendors, as well as free cookies and hot chocolate for all! There will also be the highly anticipated fire truck parade, plus holiday music, live entertainment, and more.  Be there to light up the city for the 2023 holiday season!

COMEDY NIGHT FEATURING RODNEY LANEY - The Palace Danbury Nov 17

 

COMEDY NIGHT, FEATURING RODNEY LANEY is at the The Palace Danbury on November seventeenth starting at 7 p m. 

Rodney has completed pilots for Comedy Central, M T V, plus A and E, and has been seen on many other programs. He can currently be seen on tru T V’s, “The Smoking Gun Presents”, and He has also appeared at the prestigious, Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, in Montreal.

7 at Seven Friday evening music series November 17, 2023

The Saint Peter Danbury Friday evening music series, Seven at seven will continue on November seventeenth with an Organ recital by their Music director Glenn Segger. The program starts at seven pm in the church at One hundred four, Main Street, Danbury, Connecticut. Free parking is available along side of the church on Center Street.
