Weekly Newsletter available

The City of Danbury Cultural Commission publishes a weekly newsletter. More than simply this flash briefing, the newsletter brings more information about many of the events you need to know in Danbury. The newsletter is free and is sent each Wednesday to your email inbox. We never share your information and you can unsubscribe any time.

International Park(ing) Day in Danbury is Sept 20.

 The Danbury the Cultural Commission, with the Parking Authority, the Parks Department, and CityCenter will be turning a parking space into a City park to celebrate open space, cultural and artistic projects on Park(ing) day on September 20, 2024.

Again this year a popup park will appear in front of 256 Main Street, between 10 and 2, where cookies and coffee and conversation will be shared. Danbury Cultural Commissioners will be on hand to talk about the cultural and artistic projects in Danbury as well as open space in the City.

Danbury Concert Association first concert September 22

  The Danbury Concert Association, will kick off its Twenty twenty four, twenty five series of four concerts on Sunday, September Twenty second at three p m, when pianist Cecile Licad returns to the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the Western Connecticut State University campus.

Series subscriptions are now on sale, at Eighty dollars per adult. 

 

Single tickets to any of the four concerts will be available at Twenty five dollars each. 


Admission is free for ages Eighteen and under, courtesy of the Danbury Cultural Commission

All performances take place at the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the west side campus of WCSU. The series will continue with pianist Andrew Armstrong and violinist Abigél Králik in October; soprano Kathryn Lewek and tenor Zach Borichevsky in March; and the Essex Septet in June.
