Summer concert series on the Ives Street Green next up 8/4

The Twenty twenty three Summer Concert Series from CityCenter Danbury is in full swing most Thursdays at ten P M on the Ives Street Green. From country to reggae, this lineup will keep your body moving and head bopping. Next up on August fourth listen to Jay Rivera and Ncue band with their Latin sounds. Stop on by and listen through August eighteenth and don’t forget to bring your lawn chair and grab a treat from one of our local eateries.

Charles Ives Music Festival August 10 at WestConn west side campus

The Charles Ives Music Festival hosts a concert: ORCHESTRA and COMPOSERS on August tenth at seven P M. featuring selections by the C I M F Orchestra, a performance by the winner of the inaugural C I M F Concerto Competition, and performances of the chamber music compositions. The concert will be held at Veronica Hagman Hall at the Visual and Performing Arts Center located on the Western Connecticut State University Westside Campus, Forty three Lake Avenue Extension, Danbury, Connecticut. This concert is open to the public and free to attend. This concert is brought to you, in part, by the Danbury Cultural Commission.

The Music Man opens at Musicals at Richter July 28

Musicals at Richter, the longest running outdoor theater in Connecticut, continues The Music Man weekends through August twelfth. The Music Man is family entertainment at its best. Meredith Willson's six-time Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since Nineteen Fifty seven and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation. The musicals are performed on the lawn of the Richter Arts Center at One hundred Aunt Hack road, which opens at seven P M for picnicking with curtain at eight P M. Guests are invited to bring chairs or blankets to enjoy the show. Musicals at Richter is sponsored, in part, by the Danbury Cultural Commission.
