A Christmas Celebration Concert Doug Hartline & Friends 12/8

On Saturday December 8th, A Christmas Celebration Concert, with Doug Hartline & Friends will be at the First Congregational Church Music Hall, 164 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury, Connecticut. The music begins at 4:00 PM.

The concert will include unique renditions of Christmas carols, hymns, and popular songs. The performance will feature Doug Hartline, on acoustic/electric guitar, Ginny Hartline, on vocals, Arthur Lipner on vibes, Gary Blu on flute sax mandolin, George Skidd on bass, Alan Pugielli on drums, along with Joan Wallace on vocal, and Amy Jonsson on vocals violin.

Danbury Community Orchestra Fall Concert, December 2nd

SANTA'S RAILYARD 2018

The Danbury Railway Museum is pleased to host the Ride a vintage train to Santa's toyland on Saturday and Sunday, December 2 through 16. The rides includes, the train ride in the railyard, a free gift for children, a visit with Santa in Toyland plus the exhibits in the restored 1903 station and railyard, operating layouts, and displays. Trains leave every half hour starting at 12:30. Admission to the museum is $12.
The Railway Museum is the old train station on White Street Danbury.

Ensemble from Russia in Concert Sunday, December 2, 2018 1:00 PM

The St. Petersburg Men's Ensemble, under the direction of Kirill Sokolov, will perform a program of Russian and Western Sacred Music as well as Russian Folk Songs at St. James' Episcopal Church 25 West Street, Danbury, Connecticut, Sunday December 2, 2018.

This highly professional a capella quartet entertains with superb musicality and a bit of humor. The Ensemble has been touring the US twice a year for almost 15 years and the members are a joy to hear and meet. You won't want to miss this!

CDs and Russian items will be for sale. (Cash only) A cash free will offering will be taken to defray travel costs This concert is partially funded by the Danbury Cultural Commission.

Frisson, featuring nine of chamber music's best and brightest rising stars, treats audiences to rarely heard masterworks performed on violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn. The Danbury Concert Association is thrilled to welcome them to their series.

Hatters & Hooch in “Dry” Danbury through Saturday, November 10

It is the last few days for the Danbury Museum and Historical Society to show you The story of Prohibition's rise and fall. It goes far beyond the oft-told tales of gangsters, rum runners, and speakeasies, revealing a complicated and divided nation in the process of major transformation. Prohibition: Hatters & Hooch in “Dry” Danbury, will explore this fascinating era, the intersection of temperance, prohibition, suffrage, and immigration, from a variety of angles. The exhibit is almost ready to close but will continue through Saturday, November 10.
