Maxim Lando, piano Sunday, September 18, 2022, at 3 p.m.

The Danbury Concert Association is pleased to kickoff their concert series on September eighteenth with pianist Maxim Lando, performing at three pm at WCSU. This exciting young pianist, winner of both the Young Concert Artists International Auditions and Gilmore Young Artist Award, is committed to making classical music more accessible, especially for younger listeners.

All of the 4 concerts in the series are held Sundays, three PM at the the Veronica Hagman Concert Hall, inside the Visual and Performing Arts Center of Western Connecticut State University's west side campus.

San Gennaro Italian Festival Sept 7-11

The inaugural San Gennaro Italian Festival is coming to downtown Danbury September 7 through September 11. The event includes 5 Days of Authentic Italian Cuisine and other great food with Live Entertainment, headlined by The Zoo and The Dilemma. There will be Beer and Wine plus Amusement Rides, Laser Light Shows and Statue Procession.

What is the Danbury Cultural Commission

 The Danbury Cultural Commission is the citizen's voice for supporting cultural and artistic events in Danbury. They support and help fund performing arts programs for Danbury residents free of charge. The eleven-member Commission supports the development of new arts programs and supports and funds local arts, cultural and ethnic activities. The Commission also encourages, promotes and co-sponsors events which benefit and improve the quality of life for Danbury residents. Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra chamber music concert August 14

The Charles Ives Music Festival is currently hosting their Two week program to educate and inspire young musicians through the study and performance of classical and contemporary musical works including the Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra. 

You are invited to hear the Western Connecticut Youth Orchestra on August fourteenth from one to four PM, in the Ives Concert Hall on the midtown campus of Western Connecticut State University. This chamber music concert is free and you are encouraged to attend.
