The commissioners of the Danbury Cultural Commission wish you a Happy Easter. 

Almost every week there is a cultural or artistic event in Danbury. Thank you to the many groups and individuals who produce the events which we all enjoy. Some of the groups supported by the Commission include: the Danbury Music Centre, the Danbury Concert Association, the Stanley L. Richter Association for the Arts, Musicals at Richter, the Mad Hatter Chorus, and Danbury Brass Band. The City also hosts the Palace Theater Danbury, and two museums: the Danbury Railway museum and the Danbury museum and Historical Society. Plus there are so many civic and nationality organizations all providing events which helps bring us all together.

What is the Danbury Cultural Commission

The Danbury Cultural Commission is the citizen's voice for supporting cultural and artistic events in Danbury. They support and help fund performing arts programs for Danbury residents free of charge. The eleven-member Commission supports the development of new arts programs and supports and funds local arts, cultural and ethnic activities. The Commission also encourages, promotes and co-sponsors events which benefit and improve the quality of life for Danbury residents.
