Santa Train weekends through 12/22

 It’s All Aboard for "The Snow Clipper" Express at the Danbury Railway museum. 



That portly gent from the North Pole will once again pay a visit to the Danbury Railway Museum and you can take a short ride in a vintage train through the historic railyard to visit him. This event takes place on Saturdays and Sundays, November thirtyDecember one, seven and eight, fourteen and fifteen, and twenty one and twenty two. The museum will be open each day from One thirty to nine P M. Reservations are required for this very popular event as it sold out last year. Due to the unique nature of this event, walk-in sales will not be available.

Afterwards, you are free to enjoy a walk through the railyard with a free cup of hot chocolate – don't forget the marshmallows – and a fresh-baked cookie!  For more information sync to the link DanburyArts dot com. 
 

Light the lights 2024 December 7

CityCenter Danbury, in partnership with the City of Danbury, is proud to announce its third Annual “Light the Lights-Winter Festival” on the Green, one Ives Street. Come and enjoy Downtown Danbury’s own forty foot tall holiday tree!!  This free event, open to all, we be held on Saturday, December seventh, from three P M to 7 P M

Danbury’s Mayor, Roberto Alves, will do the official “light up” of downtown, and Santa will arrive by fire truck. There will be holiday music, live entertainment, and more, so join in as the city lights up for the twenty twenty four holiday season!

Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker ballet December 13 - 15, 2024

Tickets for Danbury's Nutcracker ballet are available now. This annual event usually sells out so don't delay. Performances are December thirteenth at seven thirty P M, and December fourteenth and fifteenth at three P M, and are held in the Danbury High School auditorium 43 Clapboard Ridge Road in Danbury, Connecticut. 

This wonderful Danbury tradition has been presented by the Danbury Music Centre for over fifty years. Featuring over two hundred dancers showcasing talent from the greater Danbury area. The production is fully staged with beautiful scenery, costumes and lighting. It includes a children’s chorus and is one of the few productions in our state that includes a live symphony orchestra which plays the iconic music of Tchaikovsky’s score in its entirety. This experience and holiday tradition is not to be missed!

The Tiaa Candy Multicultural Holiday Musical Show Dec 8

 

The Tiaa Candy Multicultural Holiday Musical Show, is

PRESENTING: I am a Diamond  and I am Super Star on December 8

at the Broadview Middle School, 72 Hospital Ave,Danbury,Connecticut. 

This extraordinary musical spectacle is dedicated to fostering the spirit of the holidays and empowering children and teenagers who have endured the challenges of bullying. The program will Also encourage the families to join hands in bringing this heartwarming event to life in Danbury on Sunday, December eighth.

Doors will open at five p m for  pictures with the Grinch and Santa Clause!  There will be Raffles, Bags of Candy and many more surprises.
