Legacy Quartet with the Danbury Music Centre August 15 at 6:30 PM

In collaboration with the Danbury Music Centre, members of the Legacy Quartet will present a recital of chamber music works on Tuesday August Fifteenth at six thirty p m in the Marian Anderson Recital Hall upstairs at the Music Centre, Two Fifty Six Main Street Danbury. A wine and cheese reception will follow the concert. 

A donation of ten dollars per guest is suggested with proceeds benefiting the programs of the Danbury Music Centre.

San Gennaro Festival August 23rd to August 27th

Following the annual Danbury Sons of Italy festival is, The second annual San Gennaro Festival which is BIGGER than before. This is a FREE Five day event filled with delicious food, music, games, entertainment at the Ives Street Green. Get ready to say CIAO and PREGO from August Twenty third through the Twenty seventh. The festival kicks off Wednesday at Four P M with Mass at Saint Peter Roman Catholic church and then the grand procession down Main Street to Ives Street. The festival continues into the night and runs all weekend.

Summer concert series on the Ives Street Green finale 8/18

The Twenty twenty three Summer Concert Series from CityCenter Danbury comes to an end Thursday August eighteenth at ten P M on the Ives Street Green. From country to reggae, this lineup has kept your body moving and head bopping. Next up on August eighteenth be treated to Tales of Joy a reggae and soul band followed by White Wedding with their eighties and nineties tributes. Stop on by and listen at this final concert this season, August eighteenth and don’t forget to bring your lawn chair and grab a treat from one of our local eateries.

Danbury Farmers Market Saturdays through October 28

Are you ready for some FRESH produce, baked goods, eggs, jam, yummie delights, plants, fun activities, LIVE music and MORE? Then come to the Ives Street Green every Saturday, through October Twenty eighth between ten A M and two P M. There you can find the CityCenter, Danbury Farmers’ Market. Come support our local farmers and small businesses by purchasing their fresh produce and home-made crafts. Parking is available at the Patriot Parking Garage.

What is the Danbury Cultural Commission

The Danbury Cultural Commission is the citizen's voice for supporting cultural and artistic events in Danbury. They support and help fund performing arts programs for Danbury residents free of charge. The eleven-member Commission supports the development of new arts programs and supports and funds local arts, cultural and ethnic activities. The Commission also encourages, promotes and co-sponsors events which benefit and improve the quality of life for Danbury residents.
